Later I was running around getting ready to go pick up Rowdy Rebel from pre-school. In my bedroom mirror, I noticed a white square stuck to the back of my shirt.

I peeled it off and held it up to see what it was. On the front of the square, in Deep Thinker’s handwriting were the funny little words “Cic my.” See if you can make out what that says. Answer Key Below.

(Answer Key: This is kindergarten spelling for “Kick me.”) Isn’t that nice? See the photo of the actual sign.

Wednesday, Deep Thinker and I were walking to pick up Rowdy Rebel from preschool. During these walks, the most interesting information comes up!

So during this walk, I learned that Deep Thinker was really upset. His kindergarten class has a brief circle time when children can bring things to show their classmates. So, Deep Thinker brought his (and my) favorite sunglasses. They look so cute on him. So, he told me that he put them on, and everyone laughed at him!

We talked it over for several minutes, but he was still sad. I said, “Sweety, I am sure they laughed, because they liked your glasses! Not because they thought the glasses were funny. The glasses really look nice–no one would think they were funny.”

He said, “Mommy, that doesn’t cheer me up at all.” Poor thing.

(Update: I think he has forgotten about it now, because he wore the sunglasses again this morning:)

This afternoon, I was cleaning the kitchen floor, and Deep Thinker tried to come in. I told him not too because I was cleaning, and it’s hard to clean the kitchen floor when people walk on it.

So he said, “Mommy, I know what you can use that will be easy! Nice-all! Nice-all cleans everything! You can use it in the kitchen, in the bathroom, and on all of the windows in your house. It kills 99 % of germs! You can also use it in the car, but only on the windows, not inside.”

This was obviously something he heard on a commercial. I loved how he applied it to real life all by himself, and especially in a way that was helpful to me:)

This morning, Rowdy Rebel had a stinky diaper, and I changed it. Right after that, Deep Thinker said, “Mommy, I think Rowdy Rebel has another stinky diaper.” I rolled my eyes and went to get the wipes and a new diaper AGAIN.

After a few seconds, Deep Thinker yelled, “I gotcha GOOD, didn’t I?” It was actually funny!
